Testimonials
We spent the night of January 28th, 2012 at The Grampians Motel. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners, Chris and Jeff, were always professional but extremely affable in their approach, amply providing for the physical comforts of their guests by ensuring spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms, but also by giving helpful and knowledgeable advice regarding the local area and our onward journey, whilst responding to our particular needs and accommodating them. Eating in the restaurant was most pleasurable. The food was very good, attractively presented and graciously but pleasantly served and the bonus of watching the local fauna, grazing the lawns, morning and evening, was memorable. We were sorry we were only staying for one night! We had a great time!

Very nice stay at the Grampians Motel Halls Gap on 22 and 23 of december 2011. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and the rooms were excellent. It was a real treat that the kangaroos, emu's and deers were grass eating at night. It was beautiful and very original. The pool was nice and cool. They even served a great lunch and dinner facilities. In conclusion: if you visit Halls Gap, please stay at the Grampians Motel. You will enjoy it. Highly recommended.

Me and two other friends recently stayed at the Grampians motel and would highly recommend to stay there, Jeff & Chris do a fantastic job.
Jeff gave us the biggest torch I have seen in my life to chase the kangaroos at night :-)
Very good place to relax, to enjoy some good food and wine and to do some hikes during the day!
All that for very good conditions, I'll be back for sure...
Thank you!

The best service Motel in Grampian”

Reviewed 25 September 2011 NEW

Think of having a good stay in a motel with a reasonable price in Grampian? You have not seen it all untill you have stayed in The Grampian Motel. We was greeted by the friendly owner of the motel; Jeff and Chris upon our arrival. subsequently, he offered to arrange the BBQ raw meat when have expressed that we wanted to do something more than having the ordinary fish and chips or steaks. We went out to shop some stuff and we have returned, Jeff have prepared 5 larger beef steak, 5 beef patties, 5 delicious sausages, lots or raw onions and 1 loaf of bread which at a very reasonable price. All spot lights were on and Jeff has provided and helped on the BBQ pit. He has gone a far extend to pleased his customer by having a camp fire at the open air not far away from out BBQ pit to warm us up at a tempreture 8 degree celcius. we had a wonderful time dining away with warm camp fire chit chatting drinking wine and beer with Jeff and Chris. camp fire usually setup for customers on Saturdays.

Overall, it's the best stay throughout my visit in Australia. I'll definately highly recommend Grampian Motel to all my Friends in Malaysia. Superb hospitality at a reasonable price.

Stayed September 2011, travelled with friends

My wife Biddy and I were touring in Victoria and looking for reasonably priced, clean accomodation well back from the main road,to ensure a good night's sleep.
When we stumbled on the Grampians Motel, we knew we had the right place. It filled all our criteria and much more. The friendly greetings by both owners on arrival, the wildlife on the huge lawns, ( kangaroos and emus ), the inground pool and tennis courts, and an evening of good conversation round a roaring bonfire. What more could anyone ask? Some scenery perhaps? Well the motel is set at the foot of a mountain and would not be out of place in a postcard.!
The room was very clean and comfortable, and we slept without any disturbance. Breakfast at the restaurant was served by the host in a friendly jovial manner.
On any future ventures I make to the Grampians, this is where I'll be staying.

New owners, excellent last minute accommodation”

After a long drive we arrived very late in Halls Gap - it was past 8 PM and we were looking for an accomodation. The first accomodation we saw was the "Grampians Motel" - we drove up the driveway and say light at the reception (but first of all some kangoroos welcomed us on both sides of the driveway). The owners were soo nice, they had a big smile on their faces and welcomed us! After showing us the rooms we decided to stay.
And we definetily don´t regret it - the view in the morning was beautiful to the Grampians mountains, kangoroos behind our rooms and very clean, tidy and friendly rooms.
The breakfast - especially the bacon and eggs are DELICIOUS!! And after a long day exploring the Grampians we decided to stay a second night!

Another very good thing to us (travellers) was the free wifi spots - you even had internet in your own bedroom! Perfect for planning or just staying in contact with your family and friends!

And another thing, we got a lot of tips for visiting the Grampians area and even for our trip to Adelaide.

Thanks again for those 2 great days and nights in the Grampians Motel!!!

Room Tip: There are standard and deluxe rooms - they will show you both and then you can decide - but the deluxe room is only a little more

When I realised that we werent going to make it to the grampians motel until approx 9pm, I called to double check that it would be ok and Jeff was so nice on the phone and didnt mind at all that we were going to be late. On the actual night we were about an hour late thanks to the westgate. I called ahead to let Jeff know, but Chris said that she would turn on the light and the heater for us with the keys in the door and we could worry about the check in the next morning which was great. However when we arrived, there was Jeff to greet us which was really nice. In the morning we woke up to a beautiful view of the grampians and there were kangaroos on the grounds, with one particular kangaroo "lemontree" was his name we fed through the window of the dining room!! They had a bon fire around 8pm which was nice and warm.

I would stay there again, i wouldnt go anywhere else. The rooms were clean, refurbished, large and quick to heat up, including a comfortable bed with electric blankets that made our stay that much better. On top of this, the shower was perfect, if not better than the one at home!!
The motel grounds were expansive, lush and green, surrounded by the bush, including a pool, large trampoline and tennis courts, if only we could have stayed longer.

Chris and Jeff were so kind and welcoming and we appreciated their hospitality and their letting us stay!
Thanks Jeff, Thanks Chris! Hope you see some aliens! We saw a ufo on the way back, just as we went up the westgate! du du du du!
